Rainytalon [COMPLETE]

Rainytalon is highly intelligent, strategic and pragmatic. She views the world with a glass half-empty view, and does her best to find realistic solutions. Although love and family have always played a major role in her life, her love and dedication to her former clan has always been her biggest devotion. She cares deeply and passionately, but isn't quick to trust others, especially strangers. She is insightful and observational, and what she lacks in extroverted friendliness, she makes up for in being in tune with the needs and wants of those she's close to. Rainytalon is very protective of her former clanmates, her friends, her family and most importantly- of herself, and where she casts her lots.

Rainytalon was originally born as Rainy alongside her brother Cloudy and sister Misty, to a kittypet named Blueberry. Her father, Sunclaw, was a warrior of Lightclan who'd met Blueberry during a border patrol when Blueberry ventured too close to the clan border. The two continued to meet in secret, slowly falling in love, until one day Blueberry discovered she was pregnant. She informed Sunclaw of their first litter, and while Sunclaw tried to persuade Blueberry to join Lightclan, but Blueberry was certain their kits would thrive in her twoleg home. When the litter came at last, they were named after their mother's favorite types of weather to adventure in. Soon after their birth, Blueberry overheard her twolegs talking about giving away her kits and so she finally gave into the wishes of Sunclaw, bringing their kits to Lightclan together to ask if the current leader, Lilystar, would welcome them in.

And that she did, officiating the entire family into Lightclan and giving them all warrior names: Blueberryblaze for her deep blue-gray coat; Rainykit, Cloudykit and Mistykit. When Rainykit became of age to become an apprentice, she was assigned Frogleap, the current deputy, as her mentor. Unfortunately, within the first three moons of her apprenticeship, Lilystar lost her last life and her mentor became the next leader, electing Sunnyblaze as the next deputy. Now that her mentor had become more busy than usual, the remainder of her apprenticeship was split between Frogstar and Sunnyblaze. With both the current leader and deputy supervising her training, she was receiving some of the best lessons of all the apprentices. Rainypaw took easily and quickly to all she was taught, and impressed her mentors during hunts, border patrols, her strategic and pragmatic views, her fierce protectiveness of her clanmates and loyalty to Lightclan. At the young age of fourteen moons, she was officially made a warrior and so named: Rainytalon. Her siblings followed a few short moons later in receiving their warrior names, Cloudyclaw (after their father) and Mistywhisker.

All of the characteristics she exhibited as an apprentice only continued into her time as a warrior, and though she was young, she was seen by all of Lightclan as a valuable and trustworthy warrior that made their clan proud. During her time as a warrior, she fell in love with a fellow Lightclanner her age named Hawkwing. The two started off early in her warriorship as strong competition, but the more they attempted to best one another in feats of greatness, the closer they grew together and eventually they stopped butting heads and started working together, falling in love along the way. By the time Rainytalon had reached twenty-five moons of age, she and Hawkwing officially became mates, and at thirty moons she became pregnant with their first litter. Sadly, by the time Rainytalon delivered their litter, it was only one still-born kit. Rainytalon and Hawkwing mourned the loss of their first child which they granted to Starclan under the name of Ivykit.

Rainytalon's time for mourning was not allowed a lengthy period as Fearclan had settled into the forest and the war between them and the four clans had begun. She, alongside her mate, fought with Lightclan in the defeat of the rogue faction of cats. Although the clan no longer needed to concern themselves with the rogues, it resulted in another unfortunate and difficult loss for Rainytalon. During the battle between the four clans and Fearclan, Frogstar, the leader of Lightclan and one of Rainystar's mentors, had lost his last remaining life. Once Sunnyblaze returned from his trip to the moonstone as Sunnystar, he elected Rainytalon as Lightclan's next deputy. As a newly-fledged deputy, Rainytalon devoted herself fully to the efforts of seeing Lightclan thrive, and was the one within Lightclan to receive a dream from Starclan about the Tribe from Which Sky Falls, and their need to be brought to the forest to help the clans eliminate the last remaining Fearclan stragglers. When the Tribe arrived to the forest and fought beside the four other clans and putting an end to the rogue clan at long last, Rainytalon advocated on their behalf to allow them to join the forest as Skyclan. Although the other clans agreed in the end, she was sorry to see it not work out and wished them well in their journey home when the Tribe dissolved their clan to return to their homeland. It seemed all was peaceful in the forest and in the following moons, Rainytalon conceived another litter with her mate, Hawkwing.

But it seems peace was never meant for the blue-gray molly, as the forest became engulfed in fire halfway through her pregnancy. She struggled for hours to find Hawkwing in the territory, but the smoke became too much of a struggle to breathe in and Rainytalon collapsed. She awoke when the smoke had cleared, with Lightclan's medicine cat, Willowclaw, tending to her. The two sought out any survivors but found none, including Hawkwing. They buried all of the bodies of their clanmates they could find before heading off for the start of a new chapter. Before Rainytalon could deliver, whether it was the fire, the stress, the smoke or the arduous journey of constant travel- the former deputy didn't know, but the molly miscarried her litter. It struck her with a different level of grief she'd yet to experience- her last ties to her home, to her clan, and especially to the love of her life. Four moons have passed since then, and six moons since the fire that destroyed their home. Now, she enters the Wilds alongside Willowclaw, hoping and praying to Starclan to reunite with her mate, her siblings, her parents, her former leader, or anyone from the forest.
