BREED russian blue | CLAN loner | player serpent |
PERSONALITY
Stonepaw is a very serious tom, who is calculating and mindful of each step he takes. When he was an apprentice of Waterclan, he was known to spend most of his time training to become a valuable warrior in the eyes of his elders. Even now, Stonepaw is weary of every sound and scent around him. Protecting himself, and his father Sagewhisper, are his ultimate goals--especially since the whereabouts of the rest of his kin are unknown.
Out of his siblings, he was never a very social tom, and unlike his father, he was not bestowed the gift of gab. Stonepaw often envied his father and siblings' charismatic natures, finds himself stumbling over words. Because of this, he'd rather listen than speak, and stick to himself.
After the events of the fire in the old territories, Stonepaw hides the side effects the smoke had on his lungs, especially from his father. Both out of fear of not being good enough to be called a warrior, and to not worry Sagewhisper, Stonepaw carries a heavy burden into the new territories.

HISTORY
Born in a rare time of peace within the old territories, Sagewhisper and Reedfang welcomed their first and only litter to Waterclan. The warriors named the four squirming kittens Stonekit, Vixenkit, Sandkit, and Heavykit. Stonekit was the eldest, and first-born son of the litter, and immediately sought the leadership position within the nursery. While not the best with words, he found that praise came from following the rules and snitching on his siblings and nurserymates. The small, yet simple praises somewhat fueled his ambitions to be the perfect little kit, which often irritated his peers.
When the kits aged, others began to tease Stonekit, calling him Burrbutt---for his stuck-up nature. Stonekit would argue that he was just following the Code, and that everyone else was just being a troublemaker, but deep down he felt a little embarrassed by the nickname.
Kits quickly began avoiding Stonekit, afraid he'd get them in trouble, which often left him to play by himself. It wasn't until he met Shadowkit and Lightningkit that things began to look up. Twin brothers, born to two absent parents, quickly adopted the outcast to make their own 'family' of sorts. Stonekit greatly appreciated their friendship, and stuck to them like his nickname namesake.
Things were beginning to look up as Stonekit was named Stonepaw, next to Shadowpaw, Lightningpaw, and his siblings. Apprenticed to a stern, but seasoned warrior, Eaglestripe, Stonepaw became to idolize the battle-scarred warrior. Like Stonepaw, Eaglestripe was a by-the-Code warrior, and seen as uptight by his clanmates.
The apprenticeship, however, was short-lived. A fire tore through the old lands, smothering the already dried Waterclan lands. When Stonepaw went to find a missing Shadowpaw, a tree branch snapped, landing on the apprentice. It wasn't until his father heard his cries for help that Stonepaw was rescued. The effects of the smoke on his lungs had already done enough damage, and without a proper medicine cat to be found, Stonepaw suffered long-term effects.
Hanging limply in his father's jaws, the two managed to flee the flames just in enough time. Two seasons passed since the fire, and he and Sagewhisper finally had reached the end of their long journey. With only a few passing rumors between loners, they settled in the new territories, hoping to find remnants of the clans they use to know.
