6 moons had passed since the fire, and Lightningheart still had nightmares of that night. Over and over in her head, she could hear the screams of terror, queens desperately searching for their kits, Clanmates collapsing as smoke filled their lungs. She could imagine the voice of Solarclaw calling her name, see the shapes of Shadedtree and Silvershade through the thick smoke. But she could never reach them. She could feel the bodies of all the Clans racing, pushing each other in their panic, cats falling and finding themselves trampled. And then she was alone. And to this day she still cried. 

Those feelings hung like a cloud over her head, weighing her down just on the brink of panic, as she padded through the Misty Woods. It felt so much like that night. The suffocating heat. The fog that was so dense it could almost be like smoke, the glow of the sun looking like flames dancing in the trees. She had to run. She had to find her family, before the fire swallowed them all. She had to keep going. She couldn't even hear the screams over the blood pounding in her ears. She had to get out. She had to get out! She had to-

Wham!

Her wild gaze looked around in fear. What had she crashed into? She just knew she was going to get run over, immediately trying to cover her head. Maybe the pain would be quick. Or maybe if she curled up she could save herself from the worst of the blows, maybe even be able to regain her footing enough to run before the blaze engulfed her.
